About me
I grew up in Harare and taught myself to code, starting with Go, Python and SQL. That road led to Amazon, where I learned that shipping more isn't the same as mattering more. These days I'm building software in Johannesburg, South Africa, chasing the kind of work that quietly makes everyone around me faster. If I'm not at a keyboard, I'm probably out on a run.
Chiku
Merge requests are where quality gets protected, or quietly eroded, and where engineers wait the longest. Chiku is an AI merge request reviewer I built and rolled out alongside my day job: bugs caught earlier, faster and more consistent reviews, and senior engineers with a little more headspace.
This site
You're looking at it. No CMS, no framework: a Markdown blog, an Instagram-style gallery and a Spotify-style podcast page, built by hand with plain HTML, a little JavaScript and an unreasonable amount of attention to easing curves.
Writing
I write about engineering, setting goals that actually stick, and the occasional database rabbit hole. Some of it started life on LinkedIn and OfferZen. All of it lives here now.

Running
It started as 5km a day, which added up to 1,022km in a year and is how goal-setting finally clicked for me. Soweto Marathon closes out 2026, and Two Oceans is next.
